An evening of bathing suits, warm shadows and still waters for Eidon Surf on Salt Spring Island

Charlotte is a fellow Quest University alumni who moved to my home town of Salt Spring Island this summer to apprentice as a gold smith. After months of playing telephone tag, we finally connected and decided to kill two birds with one stone —to catch up, and trade a favour for a favour. I needed a model for another shoot, and she needed some photos for a surf company she works with.

Given that the biggest waves Salt Spring Island gets are BC ferry waves, we decided to skip the whole ‘surf’ part and went to find water and stillness instead. What happened next was a couple hours of quiet magic at one of our local lakes with photos continuing well past sunset. A big thanks to Charlotte for being such an easy going and fun model to work with.
